Jörmungandr – The Midgard Serpent


In Norse mythology Jörmungandr was the son of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. It was once a resident of Asgard, home of the Æsir. But it was banished to the great sea surrounding the mortal world of Midgard by Odin. It grew so large it could surround the entire earth and grasp its own tail.
